Mobcasting Explained

I will give an example to better illustrate the idea of Mobcasting rather than try to explain it technically.

In much the same way, the unfettered minds could be people working on a project together in real time - documenting as they go. While this ability is inherent in radio and telephone, the financial barrier for entry is high because of the equipment involved - mobcasting serves as a way to tear down that barrier. And while this explanation is very vague, it is only vague because of the inherent lack of limitation. Our imagination in it's use is our only limit - but here are a few examples of what can be done with it in very practical ways.

Medicine
Probably the greatest benefit from mobcasting in terms of quality of life can be seen in medicine. While much of what mobcasting does is presently done in the medical field, this requires specialized and subsequently expensive equipment. This also means that the use of the systems is inflexible - and as anyone who has spent time in the medical field can say, there is much that is very flexible in the medical field, especially in the context of medical cases. Further, this can provide a linked history, recorded, allowing multiple perspectives at the same time - thus allowing better patient histories and case histories, and perhaps ultimately better patient care. Consider the following scenarios:

Having a conversation with a doctor from a remote place, as Michael Crichton touched on in his book Five Patients - only with reduced cost such that clinics could better service their area.
Medical transcription through central servers, where medical transcriptionists could ask for clarification of things that they do not understand in real time.
Distance consultations with specialists by Doctors - in real time.
Distance discussion of medical cases between doctors, nurses and administrators.
Emergency Medical Technicians can get live information not only from doctors and coordinating facilities, but also other Emergency Medical Technicians in the area. This is extremely useful in mass casualty scenarios - from blood, to water purification tablets, to simple normal saline.
Immediate transmission of lab and X-Ray results from remote laboratories and radiologists, pending dictation, which can be used to treat the patient even while the paperwork is still being done - yet providing part of a permanent record of the patient's treatment.

Again, all of this can be done now - but where it is done, it is done through specialized equipment. What if you could do it with $500 of computer hardware and some cell phones? That's the real benefit - which also benefits patients, and ultimately society, since medical costs can go down when compared to resulting quality of life. And something like this could potentially be set up in a matter of hours, for rapid response to mass casualty scenarios as well as problems at sea, or in the air.

Maybe it's not a heart replacement. But maybe it can help a heart get to the right place.

Journalism

One of the original ways in which mobcasting was thought of great use was in covering real time events - demonstrations, crises, and maybe even something as simple as traffic reports. What used to be the a pencil, notepad and telephone - later becoming portable computer or a cellular phone and pencil and paper - can all be done in real time - much like a podcast, but with one significant difference: All of the information can be centrally located and linked. While eventually the information can be transcribed, for real time coverage and coordination of coverage, mobcasting has definite yet unrealized potential in this area.

Meetings

Every year, millions of dollars are spent flying people around from one part of the world to another for meetings. While the need for these meetings cannot be denied in some instances, it's also likely that some of these meetings could be done with technology such as mobcasting across the globe - be it for business, for NGOs, and even for government.

Multilingualism

One of the greatest issues facing the internet is the length of time it takes to translate things at times - as well as the logistics involved. Yet interpreters do it in real-time all over the world. Imagine that they could not only do this remotely - but that also transcription could happen per language at the same time, allowing people to interact through their native languages around the world while creating permanent records for people. And, as someone noted, cultures with oral traditions may well find this worth investigating.

In all, Mobcasting is more than it appears on the surface. It's more than what I have written here, and it's limited only by our imaginations and application of it and our imaginations. While software is the main issue right now, it's important to consider the scenarios that it could be used in so that the software can be designed to meet and exceed these scenarios.

And obviously, there are business possibilities as well - services that can be provided through modcasting, or simply leveraging mobcasting to allow for higher quality and speed of service with reduced cost.

Here's something out of the norm ...

This note is from a girl named Robin. She's in Louisiana and amid all the turmoil there. When I read her story I got the chills; this is horrible. I'm sending this to all of you to spread the word, PRAY. There are local churches where she lives who will be housing the homeless.

Here's her note:

** We have had a battery operated TV so we've been getting local channels focusing on the situation there and here. I'm just getting the "national perspective" and its *(&*&(*ing me off!

First, this is not a racial thing. I'm sorry if all the reporters are seeing are black faces but if they would take their cameras to places like Slidell, Mandeville, Metairie and CHALMETTE, they would see a several thousand white faces being affected by this. Most of the tip of the boot that is Louisiana south and east of Baton Rouge is under water. Those people are stuck too waiting for help; dying, but all the news people can focus on is the Superdome.

Another misconception: The violence going on there is not the reaction of desperate people. It’s typical New Orleans on any given Tuesday!!! Its a dangerous, dirty, drug infested place where the city police and city government is corrupt and useless. Volunteers are getting shot at and their cars vandalized. Helicopters are being shot at. Just another day in the city.

Another misconception: These poor people couldn't get out because they don't have cars. If the cameras show the city once the waters recede, you'll notice all the flooded out cars littering the streets. They couldn't all have been broken down before the storm hit. Yes, there are always people who do not have transportation. Part of making the call for a MANDATORY evacuation is that the city has to provide for transportation and/or shelter in the city. People stayed for the same reasons they always stay. They think the storm will turn and go in another direction. They think they can "ride it out." Or, they're just too lazy to pack up and leave.

Another misconception: The federal government was slow to respond. The president issued a state of emergency BEFORE the storm ever hit, unprecedented. This means that the full access of the federal government, be it military or civil, were at our governor's disposal. &g! t;> The levee broke early Monday afternoon. She did not call evacuation until Tuesday morning. You cannot call up National Guard units in 20 minutes. It takes time. The governor and mayor are in high CIA mode at the moment.

The situation is bad here. Crime is becoming a problem in Gonzales and Baton Rouge where the evacuees are being housed. We live between the two cities and there is pistol on my desk shelf as I type (yes, I know how to use it). Helicopters flying overhead all day, gas is running out, stores shelves becoming empty. Its like a war zone. Our kids are both here and are staying here until the crime situation gets in control and I fear it will get worse before it gets better. Pray for us. **

How to Build Massive Keyword Lists

As keyword marketing becomes more and more expensive and competitive, it has become essential when building your lists to focus on the maximum number of phrases and their variations that a surfer might enter into the search engines.

Why?

Because according to Amit Singhal, principal scientist at Google, a guy who really should know what he's talking about, over 50% of the 200 million searches performed a day have never been searched before. He also said: "When performing a search most surfers give a 2-4 word query."

So here are my top 18 recommended ways to build massive keyword lists:

1. Visit your competitor's web pages and look in the title and meta tags.

2. Search for brand names in Google's Sandbox. This will return additional keywords that searchers entered when using the brand name. You can also enter regular keyword phrases and get related keyword phrases that have been searched on Google.

3. Look over your past customer testimonials, and see if there are any keywords you can use. This strategy lets you get inside your customer's mind to produce more market centric keywords.

4. Consider synonyms. A synonym is a word having the same or nearly the same meaning as another word or other words in the language. Enter your keywords into Roget's Theasaurus for a list of related synonyms. Also visit LexFN.

5. Think of singular and plurals keywords.

6. What about verbs? Example: Ride, rode, ridden, ridding, rides.

7. Use hyphenation and variations. Example: off-shore, offshore, off shore.

8. Consider domain names. Many people enter domain names into the search engines rather than their browser address bar. Example: cnn.com. In June 2005 cnn.com was searched 843,256 times on Overture.com.

9. Get books on your subject and use the terms in the index and glossaries to grow your keyword lists.

10. Download a free copy of Weblog Expert Lite. Then ask your web host how to download your raw stats files. Run them through the software and you will then discover every possible keyword combination that surfers have used to find your website.

11. Use Wordtracker. What does Wordtracker do? "... helps you find all keyword combinations that bear any relation to your business or service - many of which you might never have considered." Wordtracker is an essential tool to use.

12. Then go to the Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool. Enter in a keyword and Overture returns all the prior month's searches that include your phrase. The problem with the Overture tool is that it doesn't give you the exact way that the search was entered. This is why it is essential to use a tool like Keyword Tumbler (see # 18) to generate the maximum possible number of keyword combinations that a user might enter a search phrase into the engines.

13. Use abbreviations and misspellings. A good misspelling tool is Search Spell. Search Spell uses actual misspellings entered into the search engines. Misspelled Keywords is another software tool that will literally create thousands of misspellings for any given keyword phrase you enter into it.

14. Use acronyms. An acronym is a word formed from the initial letters of a name. Example: due diligence becomes DD. A good acronym generator is Acronym Finder.

16. Use "space" and "+" with keywords.

17. Visit Crossword Compiler and download their demo software. Plug in your keywords and discover a multitude of additional words.

Idea 6: Take Advantage of Your Advocacy Lists
There are scrupulously maintained contact lists that by definition are constantly in a state of flux. They contain the names, telephone numbers, physical addresses, and e-mail addresses of each and every person in your territory who wants to see you get to the next highest level in your profession and is a great supporter of you and your products, services, and solutions. In other words, these are the people who will coach and mentor you to greater success. What's in it for them? Simple: the law of reciprocity. (They help you, you help them, they help you, you help them, and on and on.) Typically, these are upwardly mobile individuals.

Advocacy lists work best if you divide your list into four parts:

* 1. The "A" List. These are individuals you know in high places. They can be family members, friends, clergy, customers, and/or individuals who run the company you work for.
* 2. The "B" List. These are individuals and/or organizations that have given you a referral during the current sales year. They're people you've followed up with. They can be suspects who have never bought from you, prospects, or more likely longstanding customers.
* 3. The "C" List. These are all the board members (or equivalents) of your current customers.
* 4. The "D" List. These are individuals in associations and groups that you belong to and are currently active in.

These lists can help you in quickly identifying someone (or a bunch of someones) as coaches and mentors in any suspect or prospect organization in your territory. But you have to set up the lists if you want to generate buzz with them.

Idea 7: Take Advantage of Everybody Else!
No joke. Be ready to generate buzz by connecting with:

* Your alumni association
* Your favorite teachers, professors and clergy
* Your own family's inner circle
* People you happen to be sitting next to at the ball game

OK, you get the point. Nothing, no place, and no one is sacred when it comes to making connections and generating buzz.

What is Network Marketing?

Network Marketing is an opportunity for individuals who like to help others.

At the same time, Network Marketing allows you to create a business of your

own, with very low risk and very high potential returns. It is the business

Illegal pyramid schemes promote income based only on numbers of people

product or service available to be used, consumed or retailed to the public.

There is generally not even a wholesale/retail profit margin available and

sometimes not even a company!

A pyramid scheme is a scam masquerading as a legitimate network marketing

appeals to greed alone, and will quickly disappear, leaving the last people

to join with empty pockets.

What to look for

1. A valid product or service that you believe in. Hint: Unique and

exclusive.

2. Company management with proven experience in networking that is well

capitalized.

3. A compensation plan that provides a retail profit to the distributor and

pays bonuses for developing a down line organization. Hint: This program must

have reasonable requirements to get paid on your depth; distributors on your

4th, 5th, 6th levels so that individuals who put in part time efforts can

earn significant incomes.

4. A tried and proven system that is easily duplicated by others, Hint: An

internet presence. Top quality promotional and support material.

5. A sponsor that is willing to work with you and help you in your efforts.

Can I do it?

Advertising, in its simplest form, is telling a story. The real question is

not whether you can recommend a product you believe in, but whether you’ll

continue doing it for free!

I am always looking around a corner to see what is out there to maximize my possibilities to get more customers and affiliates.

Two things are really important when looking at marketing. How much exposure do you get and Search Engines finding you.

Some of you may challenge this and want to add product.
I believe the product is a different issue. That it needs to be looked at as your content of your site. The content of your ad.

Yes, content is important, but today, I am talking about sources to get seen.

News Groups

There are alot of these groups out there. And you need to see how they can be beneficial to you.

First, identify what your business is. It may well fit into a couple of different catagories.

And search the different catagories to see who else is using the groups. Read the competition. How are going to write a killer ad to attract clients if you don't know what you are up against?

The thing with newsgroups is that they get sent to peoples email that opt-in to do so and sometimes they just get deleted. Sure, this is part of the game you have to deal with but don't let it discourage you.

Remember, there are new people everyday starting into business and they haven't seen your ad and they are hungry for information!

What "everybody needs" on the internet.

I have been in search of the perfect, or I will say, well suited business for me on the internet for quite a while.

I have given each one that I have tried a fair amount of time to work and prove itself.

We're not talking about flooding Paypal with five dollar bills or tens.

Not talking about join one program and manage 5 programs within it that you have to join and pay big bucks to start.

I've seen a lot of them and researched them and lost money for sure.

I have witnessed many people NOT researching a program and just signing right up, being part of the fast growing downline we always here about but you never see it.

Viral programs are only good if you promote them and the ones ?below? you promote it, too. Etc. Etc.

I even found one viral program that plants spyware in your system so they can track what you surf and keylogs your typing!

How far will these "join my program and become a zillionaire in five seconds" program owners' go?

There are really a few ethical programs that are not consumer goods, product delivered to the hands type businesses available.

I say "few" in relation to the number of businesses on the internet.

Ebooks are a good business but it seems that once the product is out for a while you can get it anywhere for free.

Selling scripts and other webmaster materials seems it can be good if the codes work well.

Afiliate programs for brick and mortar and online casinos are doing well.

But I asked myself over and over "what is the one thing that EVERYBODY NEEDS on the internet.

Do they need games, software, peripherals, digicams, Zip drives. CDRW's, DVD burners, game controllers, printers, ink what is it they ALL need?

They need a reliable ISP and information. Don't say email because there is so much free email servers out there.

If you are an ISP then yes to email for it is name branding and advertising. Like Netscape. YourAddress@netscape,com. Free ad.

How do they get both ISP and information?

Sign up to an ISP

To start your own ISP is either as an affiliate or alot of money out of pocket.

Now information. Search engices and "Classifieds & Advertising".

If a business is going to survive on the internet it needs advertising and lots of it.

Digital pics and text giving the reader information of who has what they want.

It's a business in itself. I mentioned earlier that I have searched through alot and I came up with two companies that really do work and they make me money.

For the past month or so I have been noticing different behaviors between two ISP's that I use. And I will say each acts differently to the various business sites I have and use.

I use one ISP and no problems. Use the other ISP and get error 404 or error 405, depending on the moment.

Both ISP's are accelerated and it doesn't matter whether they are on or off.

Temp files are cleared and cookies cleared, too. Even empty the history but get the same problem.

Use AVG Antivirus, Pandasoftware online virus scan, SpyBot - Search and Destroy. Making sure I am clean there, also.

Checked all other settings as well and placed all back to default settings.

I would like input as to what is going on. I don't trust any customer service with this kind of issue.

From TiVo and Playstation to Nintendo and X-Box,
Roadrunner Cable and Dish Network, I see that
our youth are being robbed of essentials that
will put us into a black hole of creativity and
leadership.

I watch many a children that don't take the
time to better theirselves. They just spend
hours and hours playing on these gadgets.

Don't get me wrong. I like playing as well
as the next but, it's not making me a solid
future, is it?

As I go about with my businesses on the
internet all I see are "seasoned people"
that have the tools to communicate. The
creativity to use words that will cause
a reaction.

I see many "younger" marketers today that
don't take the time to spell check their
work or even to look to see if what they
are saying is grammatically correct.

Why is this? Do they not care how someone
perceives what they just showed us hoping
we will forgive them and give them a chance?

Do they lack self-confidence in trying harder?
Do they follow their parents lead?

I will speak up and say that the laws today
do restrict proper parenting and psychology
has now pills to make everything right.

WRONG!

Ever heard the phrase "Take responsibiliy"?
Parents have heard of tough love but many
don't do it for the fear they will hurt
their child's feelings and that is wrong.

No it's not.

When they need hurt do it. It helps build
character. They need objection at home so
they will know how to deal with it as an
adult.

Be a parent. Your child already has friends.
When they grow up and are on their own they
later will thank you and be your friend.

And as for business, business only survives
by being the fittest. Meaning, know your
grammer, spelling, math in your head, and
most importantly, how to be creative.

To give a lengthy description of text link advertising, we wanted
to take you back to the breakout days of the internet. The internet first started making its appearance by providing basic information with very few graphics on plain html pages. When these pages wanted to reference another bit of information related to their own information, they created hyperlinks, or text links, pointing to this other information. So our point of this example is the simple fact that the internet was built on text links. Text links hold a high regard when they are pointing to a document which backs up what they are trying to explain. So if a text link is so important, why would you not use text link advertising to promote your website?

Text link advertising will provide two very important factors of your website promotion:

* Provide a direct link for visitors to follow based on anchor
text enriched with keywords
* Serve as a 'vote' or an increase in popularity that all major
search engines determine when showing search engine result pages, or SERPs.

Compare this to other forms of advertising and you will typically
only receive one of these factors. For instance lets use PPC, or
Pay per click engines. When you create a link with a PPC engine,
they will display your text title with a brief description and
usually link the title with a very long encrypted type link that is
used for internal use, and through server side functions, it will
determine where to send the user. No doubt the action will direct
the user to the correct location, however, when a search engine
comes in to play, these type of links are not indexed into their
database since spiders are based on client side and not server side.

Understanding this makes you realize that your PPC links only serve
as a way to direct people to your website, which is good, but it
does not help your "free" search engine listings. Text link
advertising provides the traffic without the server side redirection
and also serves as a very valuable popularity vote that a search
engine will use when determining where your listing appears when
someone searches for terms/phrases related to your website. Lets be honest, free listings in search engines are a little more appetizing
than paid listings.

Another positive with text link advertising compared to other forms
is how you pay for them. Lets compare text link advertising with
all other forms of advertising. Text link advertising is paid for by terms. The typical term is for 1 month or 30 days, 3 months or
90 days, and so on. No matter how many clicks you receive during
this term, your price will still remain the same. Compare this to
any other form and if you receive10 clicks, you will only pay for 10
clicks, depending on how much you agreed to pay per click. If you
receive a million clicks, you better hope you make some serious
conversions because it is going to cost a ton of money.

In some aspects, paying for performance can be a great deal. The
problems are that people are abusing these systems and causing mass fraud that comes out of the advertisers pockets. Competitors are running automated scripts that click their competitions links
depleting the budgets of the other companies. Then you have
affiliates of the actual search engines that sign up to display the
search engine results on their websites and when someone clicks the link, they receive a percentage of the payment. This results in
these affiliates running automated scripts to click thousands of
links a day making easy money for themselves. Or even the company providing the advertising model will charge you for impressions and force thousands of unwanted pop-ups on people's computers just to satisfy a number instead of a return on your investment.

The traffic being sent with these forms are known as dead traffic.

There is no one alive on the other end resulting in no conversion
for the advertiser. Text link advertising is live traffic because
there is no reason for an automated script to click your link since
there is no result in doing so. Only a live person will click your
link to read what the information is on the other side and this is
what any company paying money for advertising wants.
In conclusion, text link advertising is a double sided pass to
increasing your online business. It sends live traffic and not dead
traffic. It is a set price and does not fluctuate based on traffic
or anything else. Text link advertising is based on the most basic
form of what the internet was created on and will always be around.

Consider this tried and true way and incorporate it in your arsenal.

What advertising medium(s) work(s) for your web business?

Different businesses will use different means but they all have the same type of tools at their disposal.

Here is a list, though not complete, of what's available.

Email advertising, autoresponders, newsletters, digests, pop ups and pop unders, start pages, exit pages, banner ads both graphic and text, PPC email, paid keywords, safelists, url rotators, banner exchanges, surf ads sites, search engine placement, hourly renewal listing services, site submitters, newsgroups and blogs.

I am looking for anyone that wishes to discuss any of these topics and the effectiveness of that advertising medium.

I use many of these for I am an advertising specialist but I want people to to tell me what they have experience with and what works for them.

I am wanting to research for future product developement what needs change, betterment and new product design since the internet is changing continuously.

Thanks for the invite and I will say the business builder tips you outline are strong points.

I will emphasize that if ANY business is to succeed you have to have these 5 points but, in my belief, they have to be followed in a certain order.

For easier reading, I pasted the list below.

Rate the level of:

____ 1. Action
____ 2. Work Ethic
____ 3. Determination
____ 4. Consistency
____ 5. Faith

As you see, the list places action on the top.

____ 2. Work Ethic

I just reordered the list, not changing the numbers, as to, in my opinion, the order of events that need to be implimented for the business to succeed.

1.) Work Ethic. You have to look at your work ethic the same as if an employer is looking for someone to do the work for them.

You have a job to do. Can you keep your mind set to the tasks or have you put on the "I'm the owner. I can do what I want" mentality?

Remember, you still have to report to your boss (bank account). Bottom line.

2.) I list faith next. This goes more past the "I believe" it will work.

What do you know about your business?
Do you know how each step works?
Do you have enough knowledge of the business to answer any question thrown at you?
Do you have the answers that can "Sell It"?

Without knowledge, you set yourself up to disappointment when you cannot answer a question or you cannot make the "Sale".

This weakens any faith you possibly had. Enough "I Don't Knows" and you will give up.

3.)Determination. This blends in with Faith. To strengthen faith you will be determined to do what it takes for success.

Learn all of what you are about to promote. I don't mean you have to know the html code of the program but, at least, how your business works.

Your business is selling shoestrings. You offer the BEST shoestrings in the world. Why are they the best?

What are the benefits of your strings over the others? Do they never fray? Never discolor? Never untie by theirselves? Cannot by cut?

Whatever it is know it.

How do you market your product? Online sales? To who?

Ok. that is one product. How about the ebook business?

You are maketing 500 different ebooks of various titles but all have to do with online business.

Do you know ALL of the titles you are selling? Do you have an insight to each of the titles? Do you use what you sell?

So, in summary, you have to be determined to learn and know the ins and outs of what you are marketing. This will build your faith and will hopefully give you a reason to better any work ethic weaknesses you have.

4.) Action. Maybe this is the most troublesome area for alot of people.

We all know people that in the corporate world are called "Water cooler chatters".

They will procrastinate work. They don't like their jobs and it's only a paycheck or benefits that keeps them there.

But there are some in organisations that are DOers. They are known as action people. Just doesn't mean they are laborers, either.

They look for better ways of doing things. To be more productive things with less effort. They take charge of their actions and "just do it".

5.) And this leads to consistency. Doing what works over and over and over and over.

You found results in what you have faith in from the determination to ACT on.

I hope that this will help anyone in their pursuit of being in business for theirselves.

As one of the benefits of being a member of AdlandPro is having a "MyWebPage". A customizable webpage with full html capabilities.

Today, I did a revamp of the clutter I had accumulated from this program and that. Banners, hyperlinks, you name it.

It still needs dome more cleaning but I was able to get a nice start with the top 1/3 of the page.

I have been able to place my MEGA Traffic's "My Page" in it AND customize the layout with Google Adsense.

Wasn't sure at first if it would work but it was worth the try.

I am trying to see if someone has the answer to the next question.

Is it possible to put Google Adsense in your sig file of email and/or
forums?

What about in the text area of blogs?

I will attempt in a moment to place a small one in this posting.

Who says you can't make money in a safelist?

The key that works for me is fresh content in each mailing and don't send everyday. Yes, upgrade to have available the daily send option if you need it but don't send your "same" offer everyday.

Most sites offer several things to buy. Pick one item from your site and promote "it". Next mailing, another item. Etc, etc.

And, if the safelist is targeted to a certain service or theme keep your content to that.

Anything we do in life, and I do mean "ANYTHING", has a beginning. The fundamentals. How we concentrate on the fundamentals and make them a daily habit will dictate your outcome.

As I teach students today, the first thing that comes out of their mouth is "teach me a song".

My reply is always "On what instrument?" (for those that don't know my major is percussion and pedagogy studies of all instruments.)

I am first identifying their interest.

Then I will take that student and walk them to whatever instrument they mentioned and I'll give them a 15 second demo of what they ask. Then I ask them to emulate.

As always, one of two things happen, they try or they don't. But one thing is for certain, they don't succeed either way.

Why? No basics; fundamentals.

As for percussionists we perform the delicate dance of 5 elements. 4 limbs and the voice. Yes, I said voice.

Each element needs to be independent of the other and yet work in unison.

This takes years of practice and is never perfected because of the human element called flaw.

Ever been walking and for no reason you just tripped yourself or missed a step? Human flaw.

Because we have a tendency to multitask in our brain we sometimes drift from the task at hand. We get comfortable and that's when we make mistakes.

Ok, covered the "basics". If something isn't working go back to the basics. The problem is somewhere where a fundamental is not being done correctly or not being done at all.

Now, the next step. What to do with your new found talent. Market it! Get out and do some freelance work to show what you can do.

Sooner or later someone will notice your talent and you will be hired.

And as all jobs, we look to better ourselves and something better comes along. The biggest thing at this point is not to burn bridges for you might need to return through that path.

Next step is giving back.

Remember where you started and always give back to those that helped you.

Need to network.

Networking is your biggest ally. Word of mouth in the music industry is our bread and butter. Knowing people is your lifeblood. It's such a demanding market for perfection.

Continue your education.

To stay in the market you need to stay current, be a visionary, and continue to practice the fundamentals. Learning is everyday.

What and who you are with can affect you.

Be careful of your actions as well as being around others.

I once had a bass player back in the 80's that drank like a fish and behaved like a sailor on shore leave.

We did a show with Charlie Pride and this one female kept sending "Bass player" drinks all night. "Bass" would walk over during a break and flirt for a moment and then back to the show.

Well, the show is over and "Bass" is now turning into that sailor I mentioned. They proceeded from the lounge to the hotel area.

The rest of the band was relaxing in the lounge for a while when "Bass" came running back in yelling. At first, we couldn't make out what he was saying for the amount of liquor he drank that night.

Once he was closer, we heard "Oh, my God! It's a GUYYYYYYYY!" And out the back door he continued to run.

So, as you can see, not is it always your fault if something happens. It can be circumstancial because you were there.

BTW, the group had a hard time getting back playing in that lounge because of that.

All of this is the same we do here at AdlandPro. We need fundamentals. First learn about marketing. Mingle in the forums and get known. Once you think you have got a grip on marketing - try it. and keep practicing and participating.

When things start to click you will start seeing results. Then you get recognition and sales become more frequent.

But it all goes back to one thing - "THE BASICS".

Sorry for the book but learning is everyday and yes, it's going to take books of knowledge to get there.

To write persuasive web copy, it really is an advantage to know how to successfully write for off-line publications.

Because Copywriting techniques that work off-line, also work equally well on-line! We have to make some changes of course to accommodate the restrictions imposed by the computer screen, and the problems that navigation sometimes presents.

But the successful techniques for effective web copy remain the same. And these techniques have been around for decades.

Good web copy doesn't attract the attention it deserves. Copy just isn't cool. Because good persuasive copy doesn't attract attention to itself. It sits there on the page delivering its message skillfully and unobtrusively, focusing attention on the PRODUCT and the READER. And quietly doing its job of selling.

And most of the really successful Internet marketers employ excellent, uncluttered copy on their sites.

That's why they are successful.

It's so easy and cheap to build a Website these days and set up a storefront. And that's great. There's room for the small guy to compete alongside the 'big guns'. And with no previous business or advertising experience he can build a 100 page super-duper animated site in minutes. But when the sales don't come in the answer seems to be to change the animated GIFs, Java script, site banners and other gizmos to grab the attention.

Meanwhile the clever marketers, the successful ones, rake in the sales with strong, professionally crafted selling copy. And it's copy they've taken the time to learn for themselves. Or they've employed a good professional copywriter to do it for them. They know it's WORDS that sell, not gizmos. Which words?

----- Words that SELL!

After you have drawn up the approximate overall structure of your site, and BEFORE you design the fine details, decide WHAT you're going to say and WHO you are going to say it to.

THEN begin writing your copy.

Write it, re-write it and cut out the dead wood. Crystallize your message. Hone it, polish it, and examine every single word for relevancy and maximum effect. Keep re-writing it until you're sure it's a winner!

Don't be tempted to 'make do'. If it takes a week and it's still not right - spend another week until it is right. And a third week if need be until you're absolutely convinced you can't improve another single word. Remember-it's your profits that's at stake!

---------- Here's An Excellent Tip.

Print out your copy and read it out loud. If it doesn't sound like an everyday conversation there's something wrong. Have a friend read it out to you. If she stumbles over any words, or has to re-read a sentence, you'll know it needs re-writing.

Then build the Web site around your copy.

Only add pictures and graphics if you are convinced they enhance and support your copy! That way you will see that most of the beautifully designed logos, banners and gizmos you had in mind, will simply distract your readers from the one most important thing on your site - your sales message.

---------- Here's A Few Other Important Points.

1) Far too many web sites have no headline. If your Web pages haven't got headlines, give them one NOW.

Just because your reader is already at your page doesn't necessarily mean he knows what to expect. A headline TELLS him what to expect. It also gives you, your company, and your site an identity that hopefully your reader will remember.

2) Fire your BIGGEST GUN first - in your headline.

3) Push your USP into your reader's face.

4) Pack your message with benefits, benefits and more benefits.

5) Use plenty of white space.

6) Break your copy up into bite-sized chunks.

7) Make it easy to contact you from every page.

8) Place a 'HOME' button on every page.

9) Make your copy as long as it needs to be to get your WHOLE message across.

10) EMPHASIZE your key points.

11) Use Testimonials with imagination. Don't just list them on a separate page. Your readers won't look for them.

12) TELL your reader what to do. (e.g. Order Now!)

13) Make it extremely easy to order.

14) SHOW your reader how to order.

15) At the ordering stage re-state your guarantee.

16) After she has submitted her order make sure she is told the order has been received. Then send her a Thank you email. She needs to be re-assured she has made the right decision. Prevent 'Buyers Remorse' or she may cancel!

17) Be totally professional about absolutely everything.

So there you have it. A very brief summary of the copywriting techniques used by the most successful Marketers and Copywriters on and off the Web!

Just ordinary people with the good sense to stick to PROVEN methods which achieve EXTRAORDINARY RESULTS!

Search engines are the most complicated things but, when you know the behind-the-scenes, it’s very easy to understand how they all work.

This is how to get any website on the search engines listed with a higher ranking within a few short days.

Many people on the Net will tell you that it takes you 30 days, 60 days or, three months to get your website listed.

Wrong! Try 48 hours or 72 hours to get a site in the Internet and listed (on Google, at that). I do it all the time, every week.

The key part are the visitors you get. You see, all traffic is not equal on the Internet.

If I had a site promoting lifesavers and got a bunch of visitors that were interested in microphones, is that traffic any good for me? No, it doesn’t make any sense whatsoever.

So why do it?

One of the curious parts of the whole process is why you are not listed. If you understand the reasons why, it makes it easier for you. You can at least cry easier at night.

The number one reason why you’re not ranked in the search engine is that you are not using the right keywords. You’re using absolutely the wrong keywords.

You need to use the right ones. And why? Because we’re trying to get the number one keyword.

If I’m selling microphones, I’m trying to cater to the whole microphone business.

The biggest problem people have is they try to cater to everyone on the Internet.

When I talk to someone, I’ll ask them, “What’s your market?” And they’ll say, “Everyone on the Internet.” Yeah, that’s great and that’s idealistic, but NO.

Really, what’s your market? You have to be very specific. It’s better to be a big fish in a small pond, in other words. You see, you need to specify what people are looking for.

You can do that through the right use of keywords. Keywords are the key. Your keywords are obviously just too competitive, and that’s the problem.

You’re not specific enough in what people want from their site, from your product. You have to cater to a niche market.

But keywords are the same way on the Internet today. You can’t compete with top companies with high PageRank. You may have an eight and they have that link; specifically backward links.

Backward links. What does that mean?

Backward links, when you have the Google toolbar, if you right-click on a page, it will show you the amount of backward links.

Backward links are extremely important. So you need to have other people linking to you.

But you’re going to have the backward link and you’re going to use the back door to create those backward links.

The reason why this is so important is you can create your own links to yourself. Each one of the pages that I create has other links at the very, very bottom. It links to my own pages. It’s called internal linking. Write that down. Internal linking; which means I create my own backward links in the search engines. So I link to myself on all of my pages, and that’s how we do it.

So you can link to yourself, and that’s at the bottom of the template. But you use the back door in order to do that.

“You Must Know How Search Engines Work”
Search engines are just machines, really just programs that someone wrote. A human wrote the program.

There is an old computer term, “G.I.G.O.” - Garbage In, Garbage Out. Most people put garbage into search engines and they’re not getting listed - so, they’re getting garbage out of the search engines.

By knowing how the search engines work:

* You’ll know where you’re going to be.

* You’ll know how you’re going to rank.

*You’ll know the results.

And, if you don’t know how, find someone who does.

The thing is you need to know is which Search Engine powers which other one(s).

DMOZ ( DMOZ.org) is powering Google. DMOZ is a human-edited, open directory. Google powers either primary or secondary results for AOL, Go.com, Ask Jeeves, HotBot, Alexa, Netscape and Lycos. Google is extremely important - get your sites listed in the top of Google and you’ve basically covered most of your bases on the Internet.

Yahoo made a change shortly before the World Internet Summit in Sydney. It’s now a self-sufficient search engine, not taking results from Google anymore.

That was supposed to be a big shake-up but when I checked my listings, I was higher in Yahoo than I am in Google – amazing!

Yahoo is a whole new breed and it’s just going to be more beneficial, utilizing the technique in this article.

Can you get top rankings in the search engines – top 10 rankings in the search engines? Yes, and it doesn’t take a lot of work. If I can do it, anybody can.

With E-book Generator, my e-book software that makes e-books very simply, my main search term was e-book software.

I started at number 44 in Google, when I started learning about search engines. I did a little bit of optimization and I was number one in Google three weeks later.

What is the difference between number 44 and number one ( on the first page versus obviously being lost in the search engines)? That meant a 900% increase in sales on that product – 900%! That’s a lot of money at $97 each.

We settled down a little at number four, and I’ll tell you why that happened. I can go back to number one anytime I want. There’s a reason.

Yahoo, I’m at number one and number two - I took both spots. I was a little greedy about it.

I have been wondering for 2 days what I would say once I got this blog running.

For those that don't know I am Kenneth R Sword Jr.
I am a big promoter of MEGA Traffic and for good reasons.

First MEGA Traffic.

MT started live on May 7th, 2005. Leo Radunz is the mastermind of this project. He was offering free Silver upgrades to the first 100 people and I got slot 38.

As I saw what silver was offering as far as tools and medium to advertise I knew this was going to be a winner. But for it to work right it needs members. And I started recruiting.

Boy, did I recruit. My first day I received 23 signups!

By the third day I had over 50 signups and MT was getting close to the 100 free Silver upgrades. I think it was day six, about 3:00 am PDT that there were 103 when I logged in.

I asked Admin if we can let it run and cap at 200. He said "Go for it. And while you are doing all of this I am going to make you a TRUSTED member." That gave me more room to work with in promoting. Now I can offer more, like extra credits, for this or that.

Most of you have seen the "Half a Million" Contest.

And, now "My Birthday/July 4th" Silver upgrade offer.

Today, I am 3 levels deep of the 50 levels available. 345 members.

And as a Trusted Gold Member I am earning money from my referral signups.

As you see, a program that is not yet 2 months old, I believed in the product, learned the product, promoted the product. The promo ads kind of wrote themselves from understanding the product.

Here's where I can say "Knowledge sells".

And then, with that knowledge, you have to support those that you recruit. Take time to answer all those questions.

By answering those questions, especially with a new company, it helped write the instructions on how to use the program in detail.

Now we have MEGA Forum. You can find the link on the right side of the campaign page. This covers everything available in MT.

The next thing that came along was MEGA Classifieds. This classifieds is not to be mixed up with the free classified that are included with MT. This is all on it's own.

This one comes with a couple of fantastic features.

First, instead on looking everyday throught the ads, you can sign up to receive an email when an ad that contains your search criteria comes in.

Being that each ad can contain up to 200 words (and that's a lot for a classified), that is a big database of words to get alot of your exposure. And the ad will run for a minimum of 30 days.

So, 30 days/200 word ad that costs less than your newspaper's 3 days/ 3 lines. And I do mean a whole lot less.
And you get the benefit of many more people seeing your ad because of the placement on the internet.

Well, there is my first entry to the blog.

Don't forget the promotions I'm running and most of all recruit. The more people that see the offers the more signups you will get and that turns into dollars.

Last thought before I leave. I have noticed that there are people that have needs in several things.

Some need help with understanding how to design a webpage, some need help with grammer and some need help with marketing strategies. There are probably more but, all I can say is it's hard to wear every hat in this business. Use your strength and trade it with someone that has another strength you don't have. If you are good at grammer and weak in webdesign make a trade. Proof their ads for a webpage be fair in your trade value. Create a win-win situation.
